LigLED’s foundation began with Ligetech Automation’s industrial and electronics expertise. That experience developed into in-house manufacturing, research, testing and complete lighting solutions.

1997 Foundation

Where It All Began

Ligetech Automation Enterprise was established, providing advanced industrial services and automation equipment for the electronics sector.

2000 Growth

Regional Expansion

The company was renamed Ligetech Automation Sdn Bhd and expanded its supply, refurbishment and sales capabilities across Malaysia and regional markets.

2005 Manufacturing

Manufacturing Capabilities

Ligetech commenced PCB assembly manufacturing, supporting medical and electrical product applications.

2009 Research & Development

In-House LED Research

An internal R&D team was formed for LED development, including an LED driver for T8 LED tubes that secured SIRIM and Suruhanjaya Tenaga certifications.

2011 Brand Launch

The LigLED Brand

LigLED was launched with a growing portfolio of indoor and commercial lighting solutions, supported by recognised quality and environmental standards.

2013 Industrial Lighting

Industrial Lighting Development

The portfolio expanded into industrial LED lighting, including high bay and flood lighting solutions.

2015 Certification

Recognised Energy Performance

LigLED’s T8 LED tube received EMAL certification for energy efficiency and product performance.

2018 Market Development

A Dedicated Sales Team

A LigLED sales team was established under I ECO Lighting Solution in Melaka, while the portfolio expanded into outdoor, façade and landscape lighting.

2019 Quality Standards

Government-Recognised Standards

Selected high bay, high mast, street lighting and downlight products achieved additional SIRIM, Suruhanjaya Tenaga and EMAL certifications.

2021 Technology

New Lighting Technologies

LigLED expanded into RGB and RGBW architectural lighting, UVC lighting and additional certified street lighting solutions.

2022 Smart Lighting

Smart Lighting Solutions

I ECO Lighting Solution relocated its sales operations to Puchong while LigLED introduced IoT-enabled smart street lighting.

2023 Product Expansion

A Broader Product Portfolio

New developments included sports and stadium lighting, solar street lights, solar flood lights and solar linear battens.

2024 Sustainable Innovation

Solar and Sensor Innovation

LigLED advanced its smart solar street lighting and T8 sensor solutions while developing in-house lithium-ion battery packaging capabilities.

2025 New Factory

A New Manufacturing Chapter

LigLED relocated to a new 40,000 sq ft factory in Melaka, strengthening its manufacturing, R&D and testing capabilities for future growth.
